Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully.
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
Welcome to 3rd Coast Outpost. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the 3rd Coast Outpost website and your purchase or use of products and services offered through our business.
By using our website, submitting a project request, requesting a quote, placing an order, or purchasing a product or service from 3rd Coast Outpost, you agree to these Terms.
1. About 3rd Coast Outpost
3rd Coast Outpost is a custom laser engraving and cutting business based in Mont Belvieu, Texas. We create custom signs, engraved products, personalized items, cut parts, and other projects based on customer specifications.
Because many of our products are custom-made, the terms below are intended to address the unique nature of custom work.
2. Quotes and Project Requests
Submitting a project request through our website does not automatically create an order or guarantee that we can complete the requested project.
Quotes are based on the information available to us at the time the quote is provided. Changes to the design, materials, dimensions, quantities, or other project specifications may change the quoted price.
A quote may expire after the period stated in the quote or, if no expiration is stated, after a reasonable period based on material availability and pricing.
An order is considered accepted when 3rd Coast Outpost confirms the order and any required payment, deposit, or approval has been received.
3. Custom Designs and Customer Approval
For projects requiring design work, 3rd Coast Outpost may provide a digital proof or other representation of the proposed finished product.
When a proof is provided, the customer is responsible for carefully reviewing it before approving production, including:
Names and spelling
Dates and numbers
Logos and artwork
Text
Dimensions
Layout
Design details
Other project-specific information
Once a customer approves a proof, production may begin.
Changes requested after approval may result in additional design, material, or production charges and may affect the expected completion date.
If a customer declines a proof or requests production without a proof, the customer remains responsible for the information and specifications they provided.
4. Customer-Provided Artwork and Intellectual Property
Customers may provide artwork, logos, photographs, graphics, text, or other files for use in a project.
By submitting these materials, you represent that you have the legal right or appropriate permission to provide and use them for the requested project.
You retain ownership of intellectual property that you own and provide to us. Submitting artwork to 3rd Coast Outpost does not transfer ownership of that artwork to us.
You authorize 3rd Coast Outpost to use the submitted materials as reasonably necessary to quote, design, produce, and complete your order.
You are responsible for claims arising from artwork, logos, photographs, or other materials that you provide when you do not have the necessary rights or permission to use them.
5. Our Designs and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, 3rd Coast Outpost retains ownership of its original designs, artwork, templates, photographs, graphics, logos, website content, and other original materials created by us.
Payment for a custom product does not automatically transfer ownership of our underlying design files or production files.
We may use photographs of completed projects for our website, portfolio, social media, or other marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
If a project involves confidential or sensitive information, customers are encouraged to tell us before production so we can discuss appropriate handling.
6. Custom Products and Natural Materials
Many products we create are made from natural or variable materials, including wood, leather, slate, and similar materials.
Natural variations in grain, color, texture, knots, markings, thickness, and other characteristics are normal and are not necessarily defects.
Laser engraving and cutting may also produce variations in color, depth, texture, or appearance depending on the material and its composition.
We will make reasonable efforts to produce your project according to the approved specifications, but exact duplication of a photograph, digital rendering, sample, or previous project may not always be possible.
7. Customer-Supplied Items
We may accept certain customer-supplied items for engraving or customization.
Examples may include tumblers, cups, cutting boards, tools, pens, or other personal items.
Before providing an item, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the item is suitable for the requested process and that they have the right to have the item modified.
Laser engraving can produce different results depending on the material, coating, finish, shape, construction, and manufacturer of an item.
We take reasonable care when handling customer-supplied items. However, because we do not manufacture or control the original item, we cannot guarantee that every customer-supplied item will produce a particular engraving result.
Customers should disclose known defects, unusual construction, coatings, finishes, or other characteristics that could affect the project.
If we determine that an item is unsuitable or presents an unreasonable risk of damage, we may decline the project.
8. Production and Completion Times
We will provide an estimated completion or shipping timeframe when practical.
Estimated completion dates are not guaranteed unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing.
Production times may be affected by material availability, design changes, customer approval delays, equipment issues, shipping delays, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays when we become aware of them.
9. Payment
Payment terms will be communicated at the time of the quote or order.
Depending on the project, payment may be required in full, or a deposit may be required before production begins.
We may use third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process payments.
An order may not enter production until required payment, deposit, artwork, or customer approval has been received.
Additional charges may apply when a customer requests changes to an approved project or when project requirements materially change.
10. Cancellations
Because many of our products are custom-made, cancellation availability may depend on the stage of the project.
A customer may request cancellation before production begins. If we approve the cancellation, any refund will be handled according to the circumstances of the order and any applicable law.
Once design work, material purchases, personalization, engraving, cutting, or other production work has begun, cancellation may result in charges for work already completed, materials purchased, or other non-recoverable costs.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any cancellation or refund rights that cannot legally be waived.
11. Returns, Refunds, and Corrections
Custom and personalized products generally cannot be returned simply because a customer changes their mind or no longer wants the product.
However, if we make an error in producing a project that differs materially from the approved specifications, please contact us promptly so that we can review the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.
If a product arrives damaged, customers should contact us as soon as reasonably possible and, when applicable, provide photographs of the damage and packaging.
We may request additional information or photographs to help determine whether the issue occurred during production, handling, or shipping.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
12. Shipping, Pickup, and Delivery
Available fulfillment options may include local pickup, local delivery, or shipping, depending on the project.
Shipping or delivery charges, when applicable, will be communicated before the order is completed.
Once an order has been transferred to a third-party shipping carrier, delays caused by the carrier are outside our control. We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers with shipping issues.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information.
Additional charges may apply when an order must be reshipped because incorrect information was provided by the customer.
13. Inspection of Orders
Customers should inspect their order promptly after receiving it or picking it up.
If you believe an order contains an error, defect, or damage, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with a description of the issue and supporting photographs when appropriate.
Prompt notification helps us investigate and resolve problems efficiently.

These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
3rd Coast Outpost is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party service providers.
16. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, equipment failure, power outages, supply shortages, transportation disruptions, labor disruptions, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
We will make reasonable efforts to resume affected services or production when circumstances permit.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, 3rd Coast Outpost will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.
Our liability, where legally permitted to be limited, will be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any legal dispute arising from these Terms or a transaction with 3rd Coast Outpost will be handled in accordance with applicable Texas law.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, products, services, or applicable laws.
When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the beginning of this page.
The updated Terms will apply to future use of the website and future transactions after they become effective.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
